Welcome

Dear colleagues,

It is my great pleasure to welcome you all to Leuven, Belgium for the third SERGS meeting. The first meeting was held in 2009 in Milano, Italy and the second meeting in Lund, Sweden. Both meetings were very successful and well attended.

The SERGS 2011 meeting will be a clinical as possible, and includes a lot of robotic live surgery and robotic videos of gynaecological surgery. As you will see we have been able to attract the most experienced robotic surgeons in Europe and also from other continents. Also more general topics such as anesthesia, cost-benefit of robotic surgery and future prospects of robotic surgery will be discussed.

I am convinced that you will not only enjoy the scientific program but also the Belgian hospitality, chocolates and beers!
